Share files from Attio

The NudgeHost app for Attio turns a file on a person, company or deal into a link, and shows that link's opens on the record. The app is waiting for Attio's review, so it isn't in Attio's App Store yet.

Connect NudgeHost

  1. Sign in to NudgeHost, open your dashboard and scroll to Connected apps.
  2. Beside Attio, click Make a key for Attio and copy the key. NudgeHost shows it once.
  3. In Attio, install the NudgeHost app.
  4. Open any person, company or deal, press Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and choose Share with NudgeHost. When Attio asks you to connect NudgeHost, paste the key.

Only an Attio workspace admin can connect. The key belongs to one NudgeHost account, and every link shared from the workspace goes to that account.

What the app can do in Attio

  • It reads the list of files on a record when you open Share with NudgeHost there, and downloads only the file you pick.
  • It adds one note to the record for each link you share or add.
  • It doesn't change your records, lists or other notes.
  • It sends NudgeHost the file you pick and nothing else from Attio. NudgeHost receives no record names, people or email addresses.
  • Attio keeps the key as the workspace's connection and gives it only to the app's code that runs on Attio's servers.

Disconnect

Under Attio in Connected apps, click Delete key, or uninstall the app in Attio. Links already shared stay up and keep opening, and their notes stay on the records.

Share a file from a record

  1. On a person, company or deal, press Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and choose Share with NudgeHost.
  2. Under A file on this record, click Get a link on the row of the file you want to share.

NudgeHost puts the file online and adds a note to the record with the link. The dialog shows the link with Open link beside it, and you can select the link there to copy it. Anyone you send it to can open it without an account.

From Attio, a file can be up to 10MB, so the share always finishes in the time Attio gives an app. For a bigger file, upload a file and copy its link at nudgehost.com, then add it from Attio with One of your links. ZIP files can't be shared from Attio yet. Word, Excel and PowerPoint files can.

Add a link you already have

  1. On the record, press Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and choose Share with NudgeHost.
  2. Click One of your links, then click Add to record on the row of the link you want.

The record gets the same note, and the link's opens show on it like any other.

See its opens

The NudgeHost tab on people, companies and deals lists the links shared on that record and how many times each was opened. It appears by itself once the app is installed. To show the total beside the record's details too, add the NudgeHost opens widget.

  1. Open the ⋮ menu at the top right of a person, company or deal.
  2. Choose Configure page.
  3. If all six highlights are in use, remove one first.
  4. Choose Add widget and pick NudgeHost opens.
  5. Click Save changes.

On the Pro and Studio plans, the tab also lists the 100 most recent opens with the time and country of each. That tab is how you check whether a link was opened without leaving the record. NudgeHost never records who opened a link, and link-preview and search crawlers aren't counted.

Plans

Sharing from Attio works on every plan, Free included, and a link shared from Attio counts toward your plan like any other link. A free account made from 29 October 2026 holds 3 active links, each live for 14 days, and older free accounts keep theirs until they delete them. The guide to the free plan's limits has the rest.
