NudgeHost Features
A NudgeHost link is more than a place a file sits. You can swap the file without changing the URL, skip the file dialog entirely and paste HTML directly to publish, and lock a link with a password when it is not for everyone. Each feature below has its own page with the detail on how it works and when to reach for it.
Link updating
Open a file's settings in your dashboard, click Replace file, and upload the new version. The link stays identical.
ZIP upload
Upload a .zip and NudgeHost extracts it, finds the index.html, and serves the unpacked files as a site.
Paste HTML
Click the Paste HTML tab, paste your markup, and publish. NudgeHost hosts it at a real URL.
Password protection
Open a file's settings, switch on password protection, and type the password. The link is then gated.
Custom domains
Add your domain in the dashboard, create one CNAME record at your registrar, and links serve from your address.
Full-screen viewer
A shared link opens the file full-screen, with no surrounding app interface.
Link previews
Shared links unfurl with a title, description, and a thumbnail generated from the file's own content.
Public links
Links are public by default. Anyone with the URL opens the file with no account and no sign-in.
HTML rendering
Uploaded or pasted HTML is served as a live page, not handed over as a file to download.
Shareable links
Every uploaded file gets a short nudgehost.com/f/[slug] link with a readable slug.
About these features
What can a NudgeHost link actually do?
A link can be updated in place, password-protected, given an expiry, served from your own domain, and unfurled with a rich preview. The file behind it renders full-screen with no account needed to view it.
Do I need a paid plan to use these features?
Most are free, including public links, the full-screen viewer, live HTML rendering, ZIP-to-site hosting, paste mode, link previews, and the built-in QR code. Password protection and custom domains are on the Pro plan.
Where do I turn a feature on?
Each link has a settings panel in your dashboard. Password, expiry, custom slug, and file replacement all live there. Public viewing, rendering, and previews are on by default.
