Before you send
Three ways to package the work.
All three open in the recruiter's browser. Pick the one that matches what you already have.
A PDF
Export it from your design tool and upload the file as it is. It opens in the browser's PDF viewer, and its first page becomes the link preview.
A single HTML page
One self-contained page opens as a working web page at a nudgehost.com link, with its styles and scripts running.
A zipped site
Zip the folder with its index.html and it runs at its own nudgehost.site address. A ZIP with no index.html downloads as one file instead.

Why a link works better for a portfolio.
A large attachment can run into an email size limit before it reaches the recruiter, and building a portfolio site from scratch takes time you may not have. A link to the work you already have avoids both, and the recruiter sees it the moment they click.
Start from whatever you designed the portfolio in. A PDF export works as it is, and so does a single page saved as HTML. If you built a full site, zip the folder with its index.html and it runs at its own address, every page linked up.

What if my portfolio is several files?
Zip them together and host the ZIP; the bundle shares as one link the recruiter downloads. If the archive is a built site with an index.html, it serves as a browsable site instead, navigation intact.
Will the recruiter need an account?
No. Anyone with the link opens your portfolio directly in their browser.
Can I see if they looked at it?
Yes. The link reports opens, so you know whether your work was viewed before an interview.
Can I use my own domain?
On Pro and Studio, a zipped site can run on a subdomain you own, such as work.yourname.com. A root domain on its own can't be attached.
How big can the portfolio be?
25MB on the free plan and without an account, 250MB on Pro and 1GB on Studio. For a zipped site, the unpacked size is what counts.
Can I update it after I've applied?
Yes, with an account. Upload the new version over the old one and the link stays the same, a zipped site included.
Does it work without signing up?
Yes. Links made without an account last 7 days. A free account keeps them until you delete them.
Will the recruiter see a NudgeHost banner?
Not on a free account. A page or a site uploaded without an account carries a small NudgeHost banner, which goes once you make an account and the links move across.
