Choose which emails NudgeHost sends you

Open Email settings at the bottom of your dashboard, or the email settings link at the foot of a NudgeHost email, and switch off the emails you don't want.

The three switches

SwitchWhat it sends
First opensAn email the first time each of your file links is opened, never more than one a day. On by default. Pro and Studio see the time and country of the open, and the free plan the open count
Link remindersAn email 2 days before a free link ends, never more than one a day, listing up to 10 links. On by default. Only free accounts made from 29 October 2026 see it, since only their links end
Product newsNew features and changes to the paid plans. Off unless you switch it on, or it was on when you signed up

At sign-up, ticking "Don't email me news about new features and paid plans" keeps Product news off, and the dashboard says so under the switch. A first-open email never says who opened the link, and see when your link was opened explains what is counted.

Change them

  1. Open your dashboard and scroll to Email settings, the last section. It shows the address the emails go to.
  2. Flip a switch. It saves straight away, and the row says "Saved". There's no Save button.

Without signing in, use the email settings link at the foot of a first-open, reminder or other account email. It opens the same switches for your account and nothing else, and changes there save straight away too.

Emails that always arrive

  • Sign-in codes, and receipts from Stripe.
  • Billing and plan emails, such as a new plan, a cancellation or a refund.
  • Notices about a custom domain, such as one that has stopped serving.
  • The emails in your first days: a welcome, a tip after two days if you haven't uploaded yet, and a question from Mark on day 3 once you have.

Your account depends on these, so they have no switch, and every one of them stops once you close your NudgeHost account. NudgeHost's emails carry no tracking pixels. A reminder before a free link ends is covered in what happens when a free link ends, and the Pro plan keeps links with no end date, so the reminders stop.

Change the address

Open Manage account from the menu at the top right of the dashboard and change your email there. NudgeHost's emails follow the new address.
