Delete the link

  1. Open your dashboard and find the link under Your files.
  2. Click the delete button, the last one in its row.
  3. The dialog asks "Delete" with the file's name and "The link will stop working." Click Delete.

What happens after

  • Anyone who opens the link gets a page that says "Nothing lives at this link."
  • The file and every earlier version of it are removed from storage.
  • The name is never given to anyone else, so an old copy of the link can't lead to someone else's file.
  • There's no undo. Deleted links are listed under the deleted files toggle on your dashboard, without controls.

From the API or n8n

Send DELETE /api/v1/files/{id} with your API key, using the file's id from the upload reply or the list of files. The request and its reply are in the API documentation. The NudgeHost node's Delete operation does the same in a workflow once you add NudgeHost to n8n.

Change the file instead

To put a new version on the same address, replace the file in your dashboard instead. To share something new, upload a file and copy its link with a new name.
