Connect from Claude's directory

  1. Sign in to Claude and open NudgeHost in Claude's connector directory.
  2. Connect it. NudgeHost carries Anthropic's Community label, so Claude first shows a reminder that the connector hasn't been reviewed in depth.
  3. Claude sends you to NudgeHost. Sign in, approve Claude's access, and Claude brings you back with NudgeHost connected.

Anthropic gives the Community label to connectors from other developers that it screened before listing but hasn't reviewed in depth. Once connected, NudgeHost works like any other connector.

The connector needs no API key, because Claude holds an access token for your NudgeHost account instead. A free NudgeHost account works.

Or add it as a custom connector

You can also add NudgeHost by its address, which works whether or not you use the directory. Claude then lists it as a custom connector.

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Choose Add, then Add custom connector.
  3. Give it a name such as NudgeHost, enter https://www.nudgehost.com/api/mcp as the server URL and choose Continue.
  4. Claude shows the sign-in settings it found. Keep them and choose Continue.
  5. Under Authentication, choose Sign in now. Under OAuth client, choose Use Claude's published identity, then choose Add.
  6. Claude sends you to NudgeHost. Sign in, approve Claude's access, and Claude brings you back with NudgeHost connected.

Claude's own Free plan allows one custom connector.

On Team and Enterprise plans

An owner adds the connector first, under Organization settings, then Connectors, from the directory or as a custom connector. For a custom connector they choose Add, then Custom, then Web, and enter the same name and address. On Enterprise, people whose custom role includes Manage access to Libraries can add it too.

Each member then opens Customize, then Connectors, finds NudgeHost and chooses Connect, which signs them in to their own NudgeHost account. On a Team plan, a member who can't add connectors sees Request on the directory page instead, which asks the organization's owners to add it.

Turn it on in a chat

  1. In a chat, click the + button at the lower left.
  2. Choose Connectors and switch NudgeHost on for the conversation.
  3. Ask in plain words, for example "Publish these notes to NudgeHost as notes.md and give me the link."

Claude replies with a nudgehost.com link, which anyone can open without signing in.

What works in Claude

Tested 31 October 2026, for publishing text and listing links.

ToolIn Claude
share_textWorks. Claude publishes text it has, up to 2 MB, as a link in one call. A name ending in .html makes a live page and .md shows formatted text.
list_linksWorks. Claude lists the links on your account, newest first, so it can find one it shared earlier.
create_upload_url and complete_uploadClaude has to send the file's bytes to the upload URL itself. In the test, Claude's sandbox couldn't reach NudgeHost's storage, so the upload published nothing.

To upload a file such as a PDF, an image or a ZIP, use a client that can send the file itself, such as Claude Code, which can then publish files and return the link.

Limits and your account

  • Links Claude makes are on your account. They appear in your dashboard and count toward your plan.
  • Claude shares one request budget with every other app signed in to your account, 20 requests a minute on the free plan.
  • On the free plan an account holds 3 active links, each live for 14 days. The Pro plan keeps links until you delete them, with no limit on how many.
  • If you delete your NudgeHost account, Claude's access ends with it.
