Two review sites, two different products
G2 rates Static.app 4.7 out of 5 across 30 reviews, and the praise there is consistent. Reviewers describe dragging in a folder and getting a live site with SSL, without a server to configure. Trustpilot sits at 3.7 across 21 reviews, 19% of them one star.
28 of the 30 G2 reviews were posted between 18 August and 2 September 2026, mostly by small-business users validated through LinkedIn. Trustpilot's profile page says the company has no recent history of asking for reviews and has had 5 reviews in the past twelve months. G2 labels all 30 as organic, written without an invitation or an incentive.
A burst of reviews is not evidence of anything on its own. What it does mean is that the 4.7 describes a fortnight rather than five years, and that matters when a score is the thing you are relying on.

Common Static.app complaints
Accounts suspended after an upload
Two Trustpilot reviewers describe their account being suspended right after they uploaded a ZIP, one of them while moving a 16MB file across.
Static.app's reply: They answered both, pointing at automated fraud and abuse checks, and asked each reviewer to contact support for a review.
On NudgeHost: an anonymous upload has no account to suspend, and a banned file here is a decision a person made.
A trial page deleted without warning
One reviewer says their page was removed when the 7-day trial ended, with no email first, and that support could not retrieve the site's name afterwards.
Static.app's reply: They dispute the account, say trial expiry notices were sent to the registered address, and say the account had triggered their abuse checks.
On NudgeHost: a free account here is a plan rather than a trial, and its links have no expiry.
Uploading that does not always work
A Trustpilot reviewer calls the file uploading system terrible and says it barely ever works, while rating the rest of the product four stars.
Static.app's reply: They asked for details so support could look into it.
On NudgeHost: uploads go straight to storage with a signed URL, and a failure is reported rather than swallowed.
Free, then a card
One reviewer says the free offer asked for credit card details.
Static.app's reply: They say the free trial takes no card, and that card details are needed only when the trial ends and a plan is chosen.
On NudgeHost: no card at any point on the free plan, because there is nothing to convert from.

What the reviews actually tell you
Static.app is well liked, and its support is praised more often than anything else about it. Reviewers on both sites name a person who replied quickly and fixed the thing they had written in about.
The one-star reviews name three things: an account suspended after an upload, an upload that failed, and a trial page deleted at the end of the trial.
None of those failure modes needs an account here. 25MB publishes with no signup, up to 3 links at a time for 7 days, and a free account holds 10 links at 25MB a file with no expiry and no card.
