How it works
From Voice Memos to a link in three steps.
Save the recording
In Voice Memos, tap the recording, tap the More Actions button, then tap Share. Tap Options, choose Rendered, then pick the sharing option that saves the file on your iPhone.
Upload it
Open NudgeHost in Safari, tap the uploader and pick the recording you saved. A file up to 25MB goes up on the free plan or without an account.
Send the link
It opens in any browser, and the Download button hands over the .m4a itself.

Replacing a recording and open counts work on the free plan. Passwords and the detail behind each open come with Pro and Studio.
Trim it, keep the link
Upload the edited recording over the old one. The address, the view count and any password or end date stay the same.

QR codes, end dates and replacing a recording work on every account plan. A password-protected site doesn't serve on a custom domain, so pick one or the other.
Voice memos and links
Why send a long recording as a link.
Voice Memos shares through AirDrop, Mail and Messages, which suits a short clip for someone in your contacts. A lecture, an interview or a long note for a group travels better as one link that everyone opens. If you trim the recording afterwards, you can swap the file without changing the URL and the link you sent plays the new version.
Choose Rendered under Options when you share the recording. It makes a single .m4a with every effect and layer mixed in, and that's the file the link page plays. Editable is for someone on a compatible Apple device who wants to change those effects and layers themselves.
The link page uses the browser's own audio player and loads only the recording's details until someone presses play. If a browser can't play the file, the page offers it as a download instead. An .mp3, .wav or .ogg gets the same player, while a recording saved as .amr gets a download card. For a screen or camera recording, the steps to turn a video into a link are the same.
On an iPhone, open NudgeHost in Safari and upload the saved recording. You can send a file without signing up, and that link lasts 7 days. For an interview that shouldn't travel further, Pro and Studio let you put a password on the link.
