Share a WAV file as a link.

Drop a .wav and get a link that plays in the browser's own audio player. WAV keeps sound uncompressed, so the free plan's 25MB holds 2 minutes 28 seconds of CD-quality audio. Pro and Studio take far longer recordings.

What they see

Your WAV plays right on the page.

Paste the link into a message or an email. The preview card shows the file name, and one tap opens a page where the mix plays in the browser's own audio player. A slim NudgeHost header above it holds a download button, and a file the browser can't play shows a download card instead.

  • A preview card with the file name
  • The browser's own audio player
  • A download button for the original .wav

How it works

From WAV to link in three steps.

  1. Drop the WAV

Drag the .wav onto the uploader. A file up to 25MB goes up on the free plan or without an account, which is 2 minutes 28 seconds of CD-quality audio.

  2. Copy the link

The link works as soon as the upload finishes. Name the link in the upload card first and it reads like nudgehost.com/radio-spot-final-mix.

  3. Send it anywhere

Paste it into a chat, an email or a review note. The mix plays in the browser, with nothing to install.

After you send it

The link keeps working for you.

Replacing a recording and open counts work on the free plan. Passwords and the detail behind each open come with Pro and Studio.

Every account plan

Send a new mix, keep the link

Upload the new mix over the old one. The address, the view count and any password or end date stay the same.

Counts freeDetails on Pro

See whether it was opened

Free accounts see how many times the link was opened. Pro and Studio add the time and country of each open. Pressing play isn't recorded.

End dates freePasswords on Pro

Add a password or an end date

Give the link a date and it stops working after it. On Pro and Studio, a password keeps an unreleased mix away from anyone who doesn't have it.

WAV and links

Why send a WAV as a link.

MDN describes WAV as uncompressed PCM audio, with the highest fidelity at the cost of larger files. NudgeHost reads the RIFF header at the start of the file and labels it audio/wav, which gives it the link page's audio player. Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari all play WAV in the audio element, according to caniuse.com on 16 October 2026. If a browser can't play the file, the page shows a download card instead of a broken player.

MDN's audio guide says a CD holds 16-bit stereo sound at 44.1 kHz. That works out to 176,400 bytes for every second, or about 10MB a minute, so the free plan's 25MB holds 2 minutes 28 seconds of it. Pro takes files up to 250MB, about 25 minutes, and Studio takes up to 1GB, about 1 hour 41 minutes. A mono recording or a lower sample rate fits more. A lossy format fits far more again, and the glossary covers what file compression is.

To send a smaller file, export the mix as an MP3 and share the MP3 as a link. At 128kbps an MP3 fits about 27 minutes in the same 25MB. A Voice Memos recording saved as Rendered is an .m4a, which gets the same player, and the steps to send a voice memo as a link start in that app.

You can upload a WAV without an account, and that link lasts 7 days. On Pro and Studio you can put a password on the link before you send an unreleased mix.
